imgabtdeco03 Since its founding in 1984, KRSA has grown to become a multi-national company with a total of 5 companies in the group and more than 1,000 employees. Today, Kilang Rantai is the world's leading roller chain manufacturing company.

1984 Kilang Rantai S.A. Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated with RM2,250,000 paid up capital
1990 Sinar Puncak Sdn. Bhd. (SPSB), KRSA’s associate company and a trading firm, was established with a paid up capital of RM100,000. SPSB is engaging mainly in the trading of automobile spare parts such as tires and inner tubes for motorized vehicles; various types of motorcycle chains, sprockets, chain kits, timing kits, lubricants, exhaust system, muffler; bicycle chains; and etc.
1992 KRSA signed the “Technical Advice Agreement” with RK Excel Co., Ltd. Japan
1993 KRSA obtained SIRIM license of Motorcycle Chain Standard
1999 Inauguration of KRSA’s new office building
KRSA was awarded by SMIDEC the “Winner of 1999 Malaysia Enterprise 50 Award”
KRSA accredited by SGS with the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 Certification for the manufacturing of motorcycle chain, bicycle chain, industrial chain,
2001 Kilang Sprocket S.A. Sdn. Bhd. (KSSA), KRSA’s sister company and a motorcycle sprocket manufacturing company, was set-up with RM2, 500,000 paid up capital.
2005 KSSA was certified by MOODY International with the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certification.
2005 Establishment of Excel Rim Sdn.Bhd. with paid up capital of RM 10,800,000. The building is located at 2498, Tingkat Perusahaan 6, Prai Industrial Estate, 13600 Prai, Penang.
2006 Official opening ceremony of Excel Rim Sdn.Bhd on Feb 15, 2006. Excel Rim Sdn.Bhd. is a new branch for Motorcycle Rim sales and production of 160, 000 sq feet land area.
2006 RKM Mascot launching as a part of Product Awareness Activity by its committee.
2007 Launching of Genuine Club. This is a racing club of KRSA and sponsored by RKM, SSS, Takasago Excel Asia and Sinopec.
2008 Creation of www.genuineclub.com website for Genuine Club team members.
2008 Sinopec lubricant launching at Safira Country Club on 17 May 2008. Sinar Puncak being Malaysia sole distributor of Sinopec, a world class well known lubricant.
2008 Leading brand in the Japanese motor accessories, Yoshimura Japan was proudly brought into Malaysia by Sinar Puncak Sdn.Bhd. Sinar Puncak being Malaysia sole distributor for Yoshimura Japan, an original high performance product.
